Dear Board members and Residents,
Our neighbor and City Councilman, District 6, Jungus Jordan sent a brochure/application on this Art project for me to apply for our neighborhood. We have a great opportunity for our Park.
I need letters or e-mails of support for the Fort Worth Public Art project (described below) by deadline, Friday, May 9th, 2008 so that I may hand deliver our application and all other required papers by Monday, May 12th at 5 pm. Please send e-mails to; Theresa Weddell Rweddell2004@charter.net
Just write a short message such as, "I support a Fort Worth Public Art project for our Summer Creek/C.P. Hadley park". Include your names, address, phone number and e-mail address.
This project will have maximum budgets ranging from $25,000 to $50,000. This money is available for our project.
ONLY two districts are getting money this year, our District 6 and District 3.
We MUST apply and not let this opportunity pass!!!
WHO MAY APPLY?
In 2008, applications will only be accepted from groups located in Districts 3 & 6.
Neighborhood associations (community groups and non-profit orgs. Individuals may not apply)
We qualify here as Summer Creek Homeowner's Association
The community group must reside in an area near the proposed project site
We qualify.
The community group and the project site must be located within the city limits of Fort Worth
We qualify.
The community group should have a membership of at least 10 people
We are a homeowner's association with 320 homes, so we qualify. I asked the Project manager to make sure.
I have been to the required meeting in order to qualify our neighborhood in getting this.
I NEED letters of support from the residents to go with the application.
I think we stand a VERY good chance of getting this project, only one other man was at the meeting I attended. He was from a Wedgwood neighborhood that borders French Lake. He was not sure they would apply.
Let's don't let this opportunity slip by us.
